November - 14th - 24th, 2013
Directed by Jason Lasky
Cast - Barron Weyerhaeuser, Alex Gomar & Paul Giblin
Music by Tom Sharrock
Can three guys really cover thirty-seven Shakespeare plays in less than two hours? This fast-firing comedy does just that as it parodies all of the Shakespeare plays (plus the sonnets!) with only three performers in two acts. This play is full of energy as the characters run across the stage and keep you guessing how they will pull off the next play. Clever use of some interesting costumes also adds to the fun.

Someone Who'll Watch Over Me - Irish dramatist Frank McGuinness
Click the Pic
September 22nd - October 2nd, 2012
Someone Who'll Watch over Me is a play written by Irish dramatist Frank McGuinness. The play focuses on the trials and tribulations of an Irishman, an Englishman and an American (Edward, Michael, and Adam) who are kidnapped and held hostage by unseen Arabs in Lebanon. As the three men strive for survival they also strive to overcome their personal and nationalistic differences. Related to this is each individual's own attempt to maintain sanity under the watchful eye of both captors and supposed comrades. At times the dramatic dialogue reaches a level of Beckettinian absurdity, as even the audience is unable to draw a distinction between the characters' insanity and humour. We are made witness and accomplice to a humour based on something apparently ghastly, the loss of rationality.
Location: The Mansion Hotel - Shanghai
Time: 8pm, Doors open at 7:30
Ticket: 200RMB in advance, 220 RMB at the door

April 26th & 27th & May 3rd & 4th, 2013
Starring John Pokrzywinski - is, as noted above, a solo show. The show opens with Mr. Urbaniak shuffling on stage in the dark. He lights a cigarette. Or tries to, anyway. As will soon become achingly clear, the character before us is not the kind of guy who gets things right the first time, or even the second. "Anyway. Now. I guess we begin," he begins. "Do you like magic? I don't. Enough about me. Let's get to our story."
Location: The 3rd Floor @ sasha's restaurant and bar - Shanghai
Time: 8:00pm - Doors Open at 7:30pm

Hay Fever - Noel Coward

MAY 23rd - June 2nd, 2013
Hay Fever is set in the hall of the Bliss family home. The eccentric Blisses—Judith, a recently retired stage actress, David, a self-absorbed novelist, and their two equally unconventional children— live in a world where reality slides easily into fiction. Upon entering this world, the unfortunate weekend guests—a proper diplomat, a shy flapper, an athletic boxer, and a fashionable sophisticate— are repeatedly thrown into melodramatic scenes wherein their hosts profess emotions and react to situations that do not really exist. The resulting comedic chaos ends only when the tortured visitors tip-toe out the door.
