Introduction:
The Glee Shanghai competition is a singing competition for youth in the Shanghai International School community. The aim is to showcase the singing talents of singers as individuals and in the group format. Overall talent in singing, dancing and stage presence will be rewarded by competent judges based on a point system.
The Cause:
The aim of Cambodian Education Project is to support in the build and development of a school in Siem Reap, to benefit the disadvantaged children in the area. Working alongside the PAPA (Partnering Against Poverty Association), the environmentally sustainable school will incorporate English language, Cambodian culture, the arts and a myriad of other programs to create new opportunities for over 100 children. All the proceeds from the Glee Shanghai Competition Night will go towards the Cambodian Education Project.
Details:
Competitors will be given one chance to rehearse their numbers on the stage at the venue on the afternoon of the event. They will then perform their numbers for the judges and wait for the awards to be decided upon and given out that evening.Groups and soloists will receive mentorship from Ann James and Katrina Barry and will be evaluated throughout the process to help them enhance their performances

All Contestants:
- Students studying at international schools in China. Aged: 11-17yrs
- Competitors must perform a current Pop song or from Broadway Musical ProductionThe song length must
be 3 - 5 minutes in length
- The song length must be 3 - 5 minutes in length
- It must be performed A Capella or with an accompanying CD (no vocals added)
- Group Size must range between 3 - 15 singers
- Group
performances Must include dance movement or synchronized choreography

- Groups and soloists will receive mentorship from Ann James and Katrina Barry prior to the Competition Night and will be evaluated throughout the process to help them enhance their performances.
Winners and Prizes:
- Experienced judges, such as Opera Singer Lydia Ma and R&B celebrity Carlton J. Smith, among others, will form the judges panel for the evening.
- Trophies will be given for Best Performing Solo Artist, Best Performing Group, Best Choreography, Most Original Performance, Most Promising Performer and more.
